Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ezpztrader ("ezpztrader," "we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to ezpztrader.com and the ezpztrader service (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store your password in a readable form).
• Broker connection data — OAuth access tokens or encrypted API keys for the broker/exchange accounts you connect, plus the account balances, positions, and orders we need to read to place trades correctly. We never receive or store your broker login password.
• Trading activity — the strategies, webhook signals, orders, and fills that pass through the Service.
• Billing information — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
• Usage and device data — IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, and log data used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
• Communications — messages you send us for support, security reports, or other correspondence.

2. Cookies

We use a first-party cookie to remember your light/dark theme preference. It contains no personal information and isn't used for tracking or advertising. If we add payment processing, analytics, or similar features in the future, those providers may set their own cookies, and we'll update this policy accordingly.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to: operate the Service and execute your trades; authenticate you and secure your account; bill your subscription; provide customer support; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your trading activity to trade for our own account, and we do not use it to train third-party models.

4. How we share information

• The broker or exchange you connect necessarily receives the orders we submit on your instruction — that's how the trade reaches the market.
• Service providers who help us run the platform — hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, error monitoring, and email delivery — under agreements limiting their use of your data to providing that service to us.
• Legal and safety — where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ezpztrader, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — if ezpztrader is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not share your trading activity with other users.

5. Data retention

We retain your information while your account is open. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise it, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or audit obligations. Backups may retain data for a limited period after deletion.

6. Data security

We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest, encrypt broker API keys and store only OAuth tokens where a broker supports OAuth, and support two-factor authentication on your account. See our Security page for detail. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise these rights, email info@ezpztrader.com. We'll verify your identity before acting on the request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You can also close your account at any time from your dashboard.

8. California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction of it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is currently nothing to opt out of. You can submit a request via info@ezpztrader.com; an authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorisation.

9. International users

ezpztrader is operated from the United States and our infrastructure is located there. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those of your home jurisdiction.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18, consistent with the eligibility requirement in our Terms of Service.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.
